Prior to endeavoring through law school, Mr. Coro attended Florida State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in 2015. Carlos’ interest in the law was piqued by a course in Law and Economics he attended while studying at Florida State.
Mr. Coro went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2019. As a law student, Carlos had the privilege of advocating for his classmates by serving in the Student Bar Association and was elected student body president in his final year of law school. As president he represented the interest of students within the Law Center and forged relationships in his community at large through charity events and pro-bono opportunities. While in law school Carlos earned class credit as a clerk for Louisiana’s Department of Justice Criminal Litigation Division and worked for several law firms throughout South Louisiana in diverse areas of practice.
Mr. Coro began his legal career in South Florida representing homeowners in matters of insurance coverage denial and underpayment of policy benefits. Prior to joining Pena, Garcia & Diz, Mr. Coro gained valuable litigation experience representing insurance carriers and small businesses in general liability issues at a local defense firm in Downtown Miami.
