With more than twenty years of experience, Maggie Lujardo has litigated in both the civil and criminal arenas. Ms. Lujardo has dedicated a great majority of her time specializing in civil and commercial litigation, as well as real estate transactional matters. She has represented multi-billion-dollar corporations with respect to premises and general liability cases and is licensed to practice in both state and federal court.
Professional Background
After a successful career in corporate America, Ms. Lujardo earned her juris doctorate at St. Thomas University Law School in 2001. She was immediately recruited by the Miami Dade County State Attorney’s Office to prosecute misdemeanor and felony cases and gained invaluable trial experience.
Prior to joining Pena, Garcia & Diz, Ms. Lujardo gained more than fifteen years in the civil arena specializing in general liability litigation defense. She was a sole practitioner for more than ten years with a continued focus on the defense of large retail corporations; and gaining experience handling other general legal matters including preparation of business contracts, real property transactions and residential and commercial evictions. Ms. Lujardo has successfully tried numerous premises liability and auto accident cases to verdict on behalf of her clients.
Ms. Lujardo has experience in handling residential and commercial real estate transactions as a licensed agent of the law firm in the issuance of title commitments and title polices.

As the daughter of immigrant parents, Maggie understands the value of commitment and a strong work ethic. She has lived most of her life in Miami; and is fully bilingual in Spanish and English. She spends her leisure time enjoying sports and the outdoors with her family, friends and two dachshunds.
