Professional Background
Joel is an associate attorney focusing on insurance litigation in the general liability and first-party contexts. Joel represents trucking companies, as well a retail stores all over the State of Florida. Prior to joining Pena Garcia & Diz, Joel represented property owners in residential and commercial property damage claims against their insurance carriers and homeowner’s associations throughout the state of Florida.
Joel received his B.A. in International Relations and Political Science from the Florida International University. His course of study focused on topics ranging from international political theory, international conflicts, international law, and human rights. After graduating from FIU, Joel enrolled and completed law school at the University of Florida, in Gainesville, FL.
In his spare time, Joel enjoys reading, writing, cooking, attending conventions, and playing table-top games.
